This sensor uses a human-inaudible pulse of sound to measure the distance from the sensor to the first object which reflects the sound (for instance: a human body). It is good for measuring not just the presence of an object, but how close the object is to the sensor. An example project using this sensor could be: a light which gets brighter as a person approaches it. This sensor can also be used to simply detect when somebody is nearby.
