Established in 2017, the Pioneer Prize is a comprehensive coding and digital technology contest and mentorship program designed to foster innovation and enhance students' skillsets. Participants benefit from the guidance of regional digital technology and creative industry professionals via regular face-to-face meetings and video conferences. The program welcomes students of all experience levels, with mentors assisting in project ideation and providing technical expertise to facilitate project completion. Through the Pioneer Prize Competition, regional professionals can engage with students, thereby nurturing the forthcoming generation of innovators.
A coding and digital technology competition and mentorship program that empowers students to develop innovative projects and broaden their skills. Participation is completely free—Haystack will provide access to resources that would otherwise be cost prohibitive to students, such as programmable circuit-boards and electronic components. The prize gives $5,000 in cash prizes each year to three students. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to register for the competition and they will receive more information and guidance on how to get started. Participants receive mentorship from digital technology and creative professionals in the region through regular in-person meet-ups and video conferences. Because of the role that mentors play, no experience is necessary for students to participate. For more information please contact [email protected] or visit pioneerprize.com.
